To secure funding, you need to translate your idea into a proposal that convinces reviewers that your research matters, your approach is credible, your team can deliver it and the investment is worthwhile.
That can be difficult when you are developing a proposal alongside your other research and academic commitments. Funding schemes are competitive, guidance can be extensive, and it is not always obvious what separates a technically sound application from one that reviewers are excited to support.
Across two highly practical online sessions, you will learn how to approach the process more strategically, explore what makes a research proposal competitive and find out how to develop an initial research idea into a coherent, convincing and fundable application.
The workshop takes you through the thinking behind a strong proposal: understanding what funders and reviewers are looking for, sharpening your research proposition, building a compelling case for support and bringing the different elements of your application together into one persuasive story.
Useful overview of all stages involved in the process of trying to get funding.
