Our hands-on Entrepreneurship Programme is offered as a workshop series on business start-up and entrepreneurship. We take a project based approach that’s designed to involve participants; challenging them to set up a new company and present their business on the final day. They learn the key tools and steps to build a successful start-up with input from trainers and entrepreneurs who’ve been through it themselves.
We use the methods of Steve Blank and the fantastically useful “Business Model Generation” by Osterwalder and Peigner which is the handbook used by global entrepreneurs and taught at MIT, Stanford and Berkeley. The programme is geared to inspire and excite participants to recognise and capitalise on entrepreneurial opportunity, learn about the skills and competencies needed to set up a business and find out more about processes, resources and structures.
The Skillfluence team is dedicated to creating and delivering high impact Lean Startup training that will make a real difference to the way people work and how businesses are started. There’s nothing we like better than engaging with groups, companies and individuals to help develop entrepreneurial skills and build businesses using innovative methods.
Lean Startup asks people to start measuring their productivity differently. Because startups often accidently build something nobody wants, it doesn’t matter much if they do it on time and on budget.
The goal of a startup is to figure out the right thing to build – the thing customers want and will pay for – as quickly as possible. In other words, the Lean Startup is a new way of looking at the development of innovative new products that emphasises fast iteration and customer insight, a huge vision, and great ambition, all at the same time.*
Business Model Generation
Constant innovation can create radically successful businesses.
The Business Model Canvas, is a strategic management and entrepreneurial tool. It allows you to describe, design, challenge, invent, and pivot your business model. The Canvas is a convenient visual tool and it’s poster format enables groups of people to work together to capture the 9 elements of the business model. These 9 basic building blocks show the logic of how a company intends to make itself viable.
