Alison is the Founder and Managing Director of Skillfluence. She has been working in skills development for over 15 years with Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and Careers Scotland. Alison studied cutting edge Training Design at UC Berkeley, Collaborative Leadership at the American Management Association and Lean Startup methodology at Stanford University. Alison specialises in tailoring and applying these innovative training programmes for science professionals. Alison is recognized as a thought leader in the industry, often presenting at international conferences and being selected as a winning finalist in the Scottish Enterprise "The Big Idea" challenge.
Li had 8 years postdoctoral experience in pharmacology before joining a university spinout. She was the acting CTO for 3 years, before the company was acquired by a large multinational. She has since gone on to co-found two startups in the healthcare sector and sits on the board of directors for another two biotechnology companies. She is passionate about the development of an entrepreneurial culture in the UK and works part time as a consultant and growth coach.
Brian is a leading UK creative expert and experienced trainer, workshop leader and facilitator. He has set up creative problem solving units for multinationals in the pharmaceutical and energy sectors. He has a 15 year background in advertising and in his training and idea generation sessions he offers insights into the methods ad agencies and communication experts use to generate ideas.
James has worked in the Learning and Development field for 19 years in a range of sectors, countries and businesses. One of his major interests is the influence of culture on management styles. He works with people in their first management rol, up to the most senior levels of management. He specialises in the areas of Management Development, Leadership, Business Communication and Negotiation Skills.
Lynne has been working as a trainer and coach for the last 10 years . She works with individuals, teams, entrepreneurs, senior managers and leaders in the creative, cultural and corporate sectors. She works in one to one settings, with groups as workshop leader, and trainer in entrepreneurial development programmes, and as consultant and facilitator in organisational development. As an organisational and leadership development coach she has designed and run a range of people development programmes with private and public sector clients.
Paul has worked across Europe for 15 years as a trainer in intercultural communication, strategy, leadership, negotiation, creativity and innovation. His clients include DHL Europe, Deutsche Telecom, Allianz, Generali and Deutsche Bank. As the leader of numerous international classical music projects, Paul practices what he preaches. He is recipient of the first Global Blue Ocean Shift Award for innovative business strategy presented by the Prime Minister of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur at the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
Heather is a marketing and programme management professional with experience in supporting emerging entrepreneurs in the higher education sector. Heather has engaged with students and academics from across Scotland to encourage them to pursue enterprise as a career option. She has developed and delivered several entrepreneurial training programmes designed to help individuals realise their entrepreneurial potential. Heather is Programme Manager for Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network (SEN) which helps Strathclyde students and graduates with business creation and growth.. She has a background in non-profit administration and communications and is experienced in working in higher education institutions both in the US and the UK.
Zach is an experienced trainer, coach and entrepreneur. He has over 20 years experience working in the innovation, entrepreneurship and startup arena. He's worked as an innovation consultant for mutli-national companies such as Proctor & Gamble, Capital One, Ford Motor Co., Walt Disney and American Express to name a few. As head of innovation services for one of the top innovation consultancies in Scotland, Zach designed an implemented programmes that stimulated and supported innovation in more than 100 Scottish SMEs. He's also been the CMO for an art technology startup, currently runs his own events business and every summer teaches Global Entrepreneurship at the International Summer School for Teens in Stirling.
