Alison is the founder & Director of Skillfluence. She has a worked for over 15 years in the skills arena for Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and Careers Scotland and she is a member of the Institute of Careers Guidance (ICG). Alison studied cutting edge Training Design at UC Berkeley, Collaborative Leadership at the American Management Association and Lean Startup methodology at Stanford University. She has a longstanding interest in science and technology and specialises in tailoring and applying innovative training programmes for science professionals. Alison has presented at many international conferences and has a reputation for creative thinking. She was recently a winning finalist in the Scottish Enterprise “The Big Idea” challenge for her innovative proposals to create a step change in Life Science industry in Scotland
Li had 8 years postdoctoral experience in pharmacology before joining an university spin out company. She became CTO for 3years before the company was bought out by a large multinational. She has since gone on to co-found two start ups in the healthcare sector and sits on the board of directors of a further two biotechnology companies. She is passionate about the development of an entrepreneurial culture in the UK and works part time as a consultant and growth coach.
Brian is a leading UK creative expert and an experienced trainer, workshop leader and facilitator. He has set up creative problem solving units for multinationals in the pharmaceutical and energy sectors. He has a 15 year background in advertising and he gives an insight into the methods ad agencies and communications experts use to generate ideas in his training classes and idea generation sessions.
James has worked across the Learning and Development field for 19 years in a range of sectors, countries and businesses. One of his major interests is in the influence of culture on management styles. He works with people in their first management role up to the most senior levels of management. He specialises in the areas of Management Development, Leadership and Business Communication, Negotiation and Impact.
Zach has been working in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship for over 15 years. He’s an experienced trainer, facilitator, coach and entrepreneur and believes in a disciplined, structured and systems-based approach to innovation and business growth. He has applied, or taught, this approach in a variety of roles with individuals, companies and organizations ranging from multi-nationals, SMEs, economic development agencies, universities, SMEs, angel investors, startups and high school students.
