Working with Edinburgh Research & Innovation as part of Projecte EMISHA, funded by ERASMUS+, Skillfluence designed and delivered a comprehensive “train the trainer” programme built around our “Business Bootcamp” methodology.
Business Bootcamp is typically a 1-day programme geared to inspire and excite participants to recognise and capitalise on entrepreneurial opportunity. Participants learn practical tools and processes they can use to validate, test and accelerate their business ideas. Case studies are used to illustrate key points and a range of anecdotes and real-world examples are included for further information.
The workshop delivery is designed to be fast-paced, inspiring and information rich, aimed squarely at developing the lean business start-up skills of student entrepreneurs. Students share their ideas and work on their own Lean Canvas whilst learning from a range of seminar inputs, case studies, group discussions and interactive exercises. The day ends with a challenge and call to action to motivate budding entrepreneurs.
The Business Bootcamp combines a Bootcamp Handbook, slide deck and training/coaching methodology.
This project involved refining the materials to meet the specific needs of the advisors as well as training on the delivery and application of the tools with aspiring entrepreneurs.
As part of a collaborative Erasmus funded project to capacity build with 6 South African Universities, Skillfluence designed a bespoke One Day Business Bootcamp programme for a team of advisors at Launch.ed at the University of Edinburgh. The objective of the project was to equip the team of advisors, based in Edinburgh, with a reproducible and reliable methodology/process they could run independently with participants from the 6 South African Universities.
After designing the One Day programme we then “trained the trainers” at Launch.ed so they were able to deliver to their own students and the 6 South African Universities. The Launch.Ed team then travelled to South Africa to deliver this programme. The programme also became the foundation for the bootcamp programme Launch.Ed continues to deliver to current and aspiring young entrepreneurs. You can see more at the Launch website.
